What you are agreeing to when Commish is part of your league's group text.
Your league commissioner adds the Commish number to your league's group text. Being in that group chat is the opt-in, so messages arrive in the thread you're already part of. Nobody is messaged individually without asking for it first.
Reply STOP at any time and you'll get no further messages. Reply HELP for contact information. You can also simply leave the group chat, or ask your commissioner to remove the number from it.

Typically a handful of messages a week in season. Far fewer outside it, where there is little beyond the occasional trade. Message and data rates may apply. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
